In Latvia lat (LVL) is used; the current exchange rate is 0,678 LVL = 1 EUR. Exchange centers can be found at airports, most hotels and shopping malls. Credit Cards are accepted in most shops and hotels.
At the present time we cannot state if Euro or Lat will be the circulating currency during the time of the Congress.
Many Banks and Hotels in Riga can accept Traveller’s cheques issued by many banks and Financial Institutions.
